Hundreds of people die on the streets every year in Romania.

Gabriela, year 2018, a chemical operator by trade, with a pension insufficient to cover the monthly payment for accommodation in one of the old people's homes under the City Hall, died in the street, a few months after the closure of the night shelter, open for homeless people and only during the winter.

These are our mothers, fathers, sons and daughters. They are our neighbours and friends, citizens of Romania.

It is both a national disgrace and a wake-up call to prioritize massive investments in permanent housing for elderly people without caregivers in every county in Romania.
