No one is alone!
In Romania there are over 300,000 old people with low pensions who are not helped by their families. They have no family, their children and grandchildren have forgotten them.
300,000 single grandparents.
What we forget is that there are also people who are not missed, not missed and not paid attention to.
Unfortunately, the neglect of the elderly with medical problems, those with disabilities or those who can no longer care for themselves is a long-standing and ongoing practice with strong emotional, emotional and medical repercussions for the abused elderly.
The problem of elderly people abandoned in hospitals by their own families is no longer new, such cases are increasingly common.
We are always looking after the homeless
https://www.monitorulbt.ro/local/2019/12/08/asociatia-happy-alaturi-de-persoanele-nevoiase/ especially the old people, the old people on the street. They were not born on the street, they have children, maybe grandchildren, they have a family, relatives who unfortunately abandoned them.
They are nobody's elders, but they are the people who built our future.
Our project aims to provide permanent housing for them.
The home provides permanent housing and supportive services for approximately 40-50 homeless single adults .
For many homeless men and women, a sense of home no longer seems possible after years of living on the streets or in shelters.
The isolation and rejection they face every day often affects their ability to trust and depletes their capacity for hope. The building will allow these individuals to fully experience the joy and comfort of having a home of their own.
With the help of people with a soul, Save Association O Heart https://salveazaoinima.ro/ , TamiStef Botoșani http://producatortamplariepvc.ro/ we will be able to offer private housing to the elderly: single homeless men and women, without carers, in a modern two-storey building, bordered by trees and alleys.
Some of our tenants will be mentally or physically disabled. All have access to on-site services that help them with socialization, household budgeting and health issues in a safe and stable environment. Each tenant sets goals , educational and personal with our social worker at move-in, and follow-up meetings are held regularly to monitor progress and overcome any barriers to stability.
Using a combination of grant streams, donations, volunteering https://www.asociatia-happy.ro/donations/sprijin-pentru-casa-nicolae/ ,we will ensure that the building is properly managed, equipped and maintained so that we can provide a safe and welcoming home for our elders.
